On the southern coast, a 5-min drive from the main town of Scarborough, the Blue Haven is situated on a small peninsula surrounded by the sea on 3 sides and opens onto a palm-fringed, romantic, crescent shaped beach. Transfer time from airport: 15 min.
Immediately after entering the hotel site through an almost hundred year old palm alley, the Blue Haven vacation in paradise begins with a warm welcome and a chilled tropical fruit or rum punch as guests check in.
This fabulous award-winning charming boutique hotel boasts a fascinating history. Built on the ruined remains of Fort King George in the 1950s, the Blue Haven attracted Hollywood stars like Rita Hayworth and Robert Mitchum. Both the Queen and Princess Margaret visited the hotel and several films, including Swiss Family Robinson, have been filmed here.
All rooms have breathtaking ocean views and are very well equipped. Amenities include the colonial Shutters on the Bay Restaurant and No Problem Beach Bar, which is renowned for its fantastic location on Bacolet Bay where Robinson Crusoe was supposedly washed ashore.
