This property is a modern-day classic - a mountainside retreat with harmonious proportions on a former tea estate. Designed by Ann Hodges, its 12 airy cottages are based on 19th century buildings. The hotel offers the Aveda Concept Spa and the Strawberry Hill restaurant.

The rooms at Strawberry Hill reflect the craftsmanship of authentic 19th century Caribbean design. They are luxurious, airy and romantic with all the practical amenities of modern living. Each of the 12 beautifully appointed guest rooms are decorated with furniture handcrafted on the premises. Special qualities include hardwood floors, and verandas with calming views of gardens and mountains. A cordial and attentive staff is available to assist you with all of your needs during your stay at the beautiful Strawberry Hill.

ACCOMMODATION:

One-bedrooms Mountain view: there are five of these units with adjoining balconies. Four of the rooms, Timbuktu 1, 2, 3 and 4 boast stunning views of Kingston, while Mountain View 1 features an incredible view of the Blue Mountains. All units feature queen-size beds except Timbuktu 4, which has twin beds.

One-bedrooms Studios: Strawberry Hill has four studios with private balconies, suitable for dining and kitchenettes. These rooms are Gong, Tree, Cedar and 59 Steps. Every studio overlooks Kingston and the sea, providing an incredible view.

Deluxe Villas: ?Birdshill? is a magnificent 1,500 sq. ft. single story house with a private terrace for dining and relaxing outside. An open living area features a large kitchen and living room. The bedroom is furnished with a centrally placed four-poster bed, adjoining walk-in closets and a spacious bathroom. A balcony runs the entire length of the cottage.

Two Bedroom Suite: ?High gate? is a 3,000-sq. ft. two-story cottage. The upstairs features two bedrooms each with queen size beds and their own full bathrooms. Downstairs features a living room with dining area, kitchen and guest bathroom. Large balconies elegantly wrap around both floors.

Two Bedroom Suite: ?Mountain View 2? is a superb 3,200 sq. ft. two story, two-bedroom cottage featuring a living room with dining area, kitchen, guest bathroom on the ground level and two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has a queen-size bed. This unit also comes with the option to rent another bedroom, Mountain View 1, to accommodate families and larger groups. The extra bedrooms are located off an adjoining walkway ensuring total privacy for the guests.

DINING:

Strawberry Hill's restaurant serves continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overseen by Jamaican-born Chef James Palmer, the menu features "new Jamaican" cuisine and has received excellent reviews from both hotel guests and Kingston residents.
Sample dishes: Jamaican pepperpot soup; jerk lamb loin with garlic guava glaze; panseared plantain crusted snapper with a passion fruit sauce. At lunch, a lighter menu is offered with salads, soups, pastas and daily specials. On weekends, Strawberry Hill serves afternoon high tea. The lounge / bar is open from 8 am until 11 pm daily.
